Inas Farid

Inas has more than 20 years’ experience and has been a senior leadership consultant since 2009. 

Her assignments include working extensively as an Assessor on Assessment and Development Centres; conducting competency based interviews; carrying out psychometric assessments and feedback sessions; and coaching in both English and Arabic.

She has an exceptional depth of understanding of different cultures, having worked and lived in the diverse UAE environment for more than 25 years.  With a proven track record of working well as a member of multinational teams, she has an appreciation for the way that culture and tradition influences the business process. 

Inas possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills, being fluent in Arabic and English.

Professional Experience

Inas brings extensive experience and knowledge in the practice of Business Psychology and Human Resources Management across various industries. She has worked within both the public and private sectors of the UAE and Gulf region.  She has also conducted psychometrics, Assessment Centres and selection interviews around the world as part of her previous role with Emirates airline.

Inas commenced her UAE career in recruitment and talent management with Emirates Airline, enacting a prestigious role during a period of substantial growth and change for the airline.  She was headhunted to become HR Manager for Nakheel where her role was managing the core functions of the company’s significant recruitment drive during a period of unprecedented growth. This included oversight of manpower planning, running Assessment Centres, taking a lead in Employer Branding and establishing HR policy.  Inas moved to Meydan Corporation where her role as HR Manager was concerned with overseeing the entire HR operations including end-to-end recruitment and employee relations in Meydan Hotels & Hospitality properties during a critical period of management change.

Qualifications and Accreditations

Inas received her Master’s of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Roehamptom (UK).  She is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Member of the Association for Coaching.  A BPS Register of Qualifications in Test Use (RQTU) accredited psychometric tester (occupational, ability and personality), she regularly utilises a broad range of psychometric instruments in her work.  Inas is certified in Cognitive Behavioural Coaching from the Centre for Coaching, UK. She also holds Coaching Development Programme certification from the Institute of Leadership Management (ILM).

Examples of Recent Assignments 

Leadership Talent Identification

Inas has worked with a variety of organizations assisting them in the identification of talent aligned to succession and development planning.  Working on a succession planning initiative assessing two layers of Managers, she ran Assessment Centers; administered psychometrics;  compiled management and feedback reports; and prepared Individual Development Plans. In turn, she conducted individual feedback sessions with participants and their managers to discuss the Individual Development Plans and make and agree on recommendations for specific training and development to prepare each participant for future roles.

Senior Level Assessment

Inas led and delivered end-to-end Assessment and Development Centre processes to identify leadership potential for both selection and development. One of Inas’ ongoing assignments is participating in the assessment conducted for recruitment promotion decision making. This is a very high profile assessment focused upon top level positions for UAE nationals within very prestigious organizations.

Coaching

More recently, Inas was involved in the successful coaching drive of a Dubai Government entity for both Emirati and expat senior and middle managers. Currently, Inas is undertaking a coaching programme for a Dubai Government entity directed towards maximizing the performance of UAE national Directors.

Management Development

Inas participated  in the delivery of end-to-end Development Centre processes to diagnose leadership potential and skill gaps along with analysis of results. She was one of the team working with the Abu Dhabi Center of Excellence on the Abu Dhabi Government Leadership Development programme. This included assessing the Executive Directors; giving one to one feedback sessions; and discussing and preparing Personal Development Plans. She also participated in preparing the material and delivering training on performance based appraisal for one of the most powerful Abu Dhabi entities. In addition, she has conducted training for the Human Resources Development Fund in Saudi Arabia.
