Currently based in Dubai, he is bilingual (English-French) and possesses significant cultural sensitivity and adaptability nurtured while living within several worldwide locations. 

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Talent Management Global, James worked as a RERA Qualified Property Consultant.  Operating within the highly demanding and very competitive Dubai property market, this experience enabled him to develop strong sales, marketing, negotiation and commercial capabilities in addition to the people skills necessary to interact effectively with an incredibly wide range of sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants.

A particular highlight occurred when he accepted an invitation to take charge of a technical services sister company for five months, during which he secured the objective of reinvigorating the business and re-motivating a multicultural team of Technical Engineers.

Qualifications and Accreditations

James received his MA (1st Class Hons) in International Business Management from Heriot Watt University.  With a particular focus of his studies being HR Management, his final year research project examined work-life balance within the various industry sectors of Dubai.  His dissertation, based upon interviews he undertook with HR Directors of leading companies, received the highest marks within his programme, for which he was awarded a special prize.  He is currently studying for the CIPD Level 7 Diploma with a view to attaining recognition as a CIPD Chartered Member (MCIPD).

Examples of Recent Assignments 

Interim HR Support

Working with a local private school, James was tasked with revitalising the HR function.  A further responsibility encompassed organising and conducting the necessary compliance related tasks in order to gain Council of British International Schools accreditation. This necessitated liaising with staff members to secure all necessary documentation; creating a database detailing all employee records and criminal record checks; and ensuring maximum due diligence to guarantee a successful outcome. The accreditation was achieved with James’ database being described as, “A work of art created with passion”.
